Really painful bee sting. Anyone who has ever stung by this group of animals must know how to hurt. But now scientists from the University of Washington, USA, is exploring to change the bee venom into useful drug. Unmitigated reportedly bee venom can kill tumor cells. This venom to nano-sized molded called nanobee.

According to the researchers, as reported by ScienceDaily, nanobee works by delivering venom called melittin. Melittin able to combat tumors while still protecting the other layers of the damage. This is what causes nanobee bepotensi claimed to be a good tumor drugs. The discovery of these researchers published in the Journal of Clinical Investigation, recently.

Initially, the test is applied to the mice. Tests in rodents have given encouraging news. The authors examined two types of mice. At first mice implanted breast cancer cells, while other mice planted with melanoma cancer cells. Once given nanobee containing melittin, the rate of growth of breast cancer cells to shrink by 25 percent, while the size of the melanoma cancer cells to shrink up to 88 percent.

Amazingly, nanobee not damage red blood cells and other healthy cells although given in high concentrations. In general, the research concluded nanobee not only reduce the growth of tumors but also may prevent cancer
